Old Friends and New Journey
One day while working I get this email from an old friend asking about photographing her wedding. I was beyond excited when I heard the news and I was even more excited when I discovered that she was wanting to do her wedding in the mountains. The more I learned about the story about the location I fell absolutely in love with the location and the meaning behind it. First, let's meet the couple Nathan and Pauline! They have known each other for 6 years and got married only a few weeks of the engagement.
Isn't this location just absolutely stunning!! This location was done in the mountains in Virginia. And the property was on family property and it was the same location that Nathan's parent's eloped! How special is that!?!
Now it wasn't just them, they also had their family with them there to share in the beautiful moment! To top it off it was Pauline's dad was the one who officiated the wedding!
Lastly they had a lunch following the ceremony at the home on the property that was being rebuilt by Nathan's family following a fire. So naturally we had to get a picture of Nathan's parents infront of the house.
All in all a beautiful moment between two people just absolutely in love and their family surrounding them with the most love and support! Oh! I almost forgot to share a funny part of this whole story. I am prone to car issues and while driving to the location my Toyota Corolla was not prepared for the road up to the location. Long story short I ended up having to get my car repaired after hitting a log or rock the wrong way. Nathan and his family though they took a good look at my car and made sure that was safe driving the additional 2+ hours back home. This newly joined family will always have a special place in my heart!
