My 2023
I've been doing photography on the side since 2016 and usually, I would do maybe 10 sessions a year sometimes more. It was always my goal to do it full-time one day. In May I took the jump to pursue it. It was a crazy leap of faith because I only had one booking for the whole year and that was my friend's wedding in September. Since then I've done 57 sessions! I've photographed in 5 different states. I've been in North Carolina (obviously), South Carolina, Virginia, Alabama, and Arizona! I recently shared a reel on IG sharing my stats.
I'm so beyond grateful for everything and everyone that I've met over this past year!
I want to make this post short and sweet and just say thank you! Thank you to everyone who has supported me over this past year. It wasn't easy taking that jump, but I am so thankful I did. Photography has been my passion for practically my whole life. When I was young I thought I wanted to be a meteorologist, then in High School, I decided that wasn't for me. I jumped through different ideas of careers until finally I thought to myself and realized it was photography, I always wanted to photograph something. I was trying to get a camera as early as middle school. Even before then, I was taking pictures with my flip phone.
When I finally got my hands on a camera and started practicing and learning, I knew this was what I wanted to do. I knew one day I would make it my career I just didn't have a plan of when I would do it. I'm a bit of an impulsive person so on April 14th, 2023 7 years to the date that I started Kennedy Marie Photography I decided this was the jump I was gonna take. Everyone in my life was supportive and helped me every step of the way.
I'm completely at a loss for words and the only ones that come to mind is THANK YOU. Thank you for making my dream a reality!
I am excited about things that I have planned for 2024 so keep an eye out for some information coming out over the next couple of months along with some potential giveaways.
